15 Month Well Visit

15 months? Can you believe it? The above picture is from our recent vacation to Florida. I thought Auntie would have a big post for you on that, but I guess not. Anywho...
Here's the status on our big boy! 32 1/2 inches (75-90 percentile) and 24.8 lbs (50- 75 percentile) . He sure is heavy and although he's walking...ok, running quite well on his own, he really loves to look up at you with that sad face and just be carried. I always find this kind of funny with little kids. I think it's because they like to be up at our level.
Sorry for the quick post, but I gotta jet...at least it's something!

10 months Old

Max!?! You are 10 months old, well, 10 months and one day! That's Crazy Talk!

5 teeth, crawling, pulling himself to standing, even shuffling himself sideways along the fireplace at Grammy's house. (That makes all of us nervous.) It's been a bit of a rough month. He's been sick off and on with this crazy end of summer/ beginning of fall cold everyone seems to have and be passing around. That, coupled with him getting all his teeth at one time has made for a rough month. He's doing really well through all of it. It amazes me at so little how he just sucks it up and keeps on chuggin. You'd think a little kid would just want to sit, be held, and be sad...nope, not Max. He's cheery and trys so hard to not let it get him down. Keeps on keepin' on. It amazes me. Makes me want to be a better mommy for him everyday!

You also made it on the news in Chicago today and you are in the slide show on their website...twice.

Sorry for the lame update, but that's all I've got for now.

He really is just so funny!

We have the big 9 month appointment this evening...yep~ 9 months already, can you believe it? Me either! I'll definately give an update for that. Enjoy!

6 month well visit

On Monday Max had his 6 month well visit. He really does good at his visits. He hates the poking and prodding, but don't we all! He just fusses a little as if saying..."Hey Doc! Cut that out! That really doesn't feel good, is it really necessary?". Then come the shots! He cries for as long as it takes the Dr. to give the shots (very quick, I might add) and for me to pick him up. Once mommy has him, he's fine! Oh, I guess you're probably wanting the stats 29 inches (97th percentile) and 21 lb 2 oz (90-95th percentile). For those of you who know about his head, you'll be proud to know he's moved from the 50th percentile up to the 75th percentile...Geesh!

April Update

Ok, so I’m lousy at this whole blogging thing. I just can’t seem to find the time to get it updated when I get home from work and work has us blocked from EVERYTHING that could possibly be personal use. It is, however, time for that update on Max…his stats, ya know.

Well, to our amazement, or not, our little bundle weighed in at 18 lbs and he is 27 inches long. We know he’s heavy, so no, we weren’t that surprised when the Doc said, 18 lbs…we were more surprised that it wasn’t 20! The Doc also asked if we were feeding him cereal yet…no. His response? Start! Well, since the bottles he takes are full to the top, I was hoping he would say that. Since the introduction of cereal, things have been quite messy around here. We’ve had a few explosions (or as Auntie Em says “ass-plosions”). I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like when we introduce peas and prunes…YICK!

In other updates, it amazes us everyday how much he changes so quickly. One day he can’t catch his thumb as it flies past his face, the next day he’s putting his bink in his mouth by himself. His dexterity improves more and more all the time. He’s still not rolling all the way over. He will roll from his back to his side, but that’s as far as he gets. OH! And the Johnny Jumper...he just LOVES that! He has the most fun ever when he's just jumping away in the doorway. I'm pretty sure he jumps higher than Auntie Em. I think he'd stay in there for an hour or more if we let him...oops! we do!

Three Months Old

Wow Max! The last three months have gone by so quickly and you are doing so much! I can hardly wait to see what the next three months will bring. You want to sit up so badly, but you can't and you do talk to us quite a bit, although we can not understand what you are saying. I am happy to report that you do sound rather happy, not mad or upset when you talk.

You have a new little friend. His name is Bliss and you love him. I woke up last Saturday to you talking. When I went in to check on you, you were stretched wwwwaaaayyy back and you were talking to him. The other day he kept Grandpa company while Grandma was out of town and when they brought him back, you ate his face! It was very funny! I think you really missed him.

Oh, one day last week I found you in your bed like this:

That may have been the day you woke up crying and when Mommy came into your room to see why, you had managed to turn on your waterfall that's on the side of your bed. I don't know how you do it, but sometimes you manage to move quite a bit when you are supposedly sleeping. You are so amazing!
